Northrop Grumman seeks motivated, technically skilled A/V and VTC technicians capable of supporting the installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of all current Audio and Visual Systems for the Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) Afghanistan. Candidates will troubleshoot and correct deficiencies and related problems pertaining to A/V systems, site repairs to A/V equipment, and fabrication of A/V cables for replacing bad cables and for unforeseen A/V and communications requirements and validation of systems being re-fielded. VTC techs will be responsible for troubleshooting of VTC issues or failures on all JOC VTC equipment. Experience with Tandberg MCUs, Cisco Videoconferencing 3500 series, Tandberg 1000 Desktop VTC Units, Tandberg 1700 Desktop VTC Units, Tandberg 6000 & 8000 VTC equipment and coordinate with the customer to facilitate the return of all items under warranty to their appropriate repair facility, as well as, the re-shipment and reintegration of the equipment
Candidate must possess a High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years experience directly related to the position. The candidate must have the ability to operate and maintain the CJTF82(CJTF101, CJTF76, or any other DIV HQ) MCU, Tandberg 1000s, Tandberg 1700s, Tandberg 3000s, Tandberg 6000s, PolyComs.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to schedule, initiate, test, troubleshoot, established VTC links and maintain new and existing VTC links as well as perform weekly maintenance on all associated VTC equipment. Candidates must have the ability to operate, administer, and maintain the VTC bridge and be able to manipulate the bridge to provide technical support for all VTC circuits attached The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise with scheduling, coordinating, and controling all VTCs, to include CLASSIFIED and UNCLASSIFIED (SIPR, CENTRIXS-ISAF, NATO SECRET, NIPR) and any other VTC scheduling and coordination.
Candidates must have a willingness to deploy to Afghanistan for 12 months, previous CRC attendance, the ability to work independently and a working knowledge of the entire CJOA's IT/Communication infrastructure
