Upgrade your career... Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Engineer Software 2 - Datamart to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Mobile, GA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's End user support team for Army Corp of Engineers (ACE) Information Technology Program. ACE-IT supports over 35,000 users via a complex IT infrastructure of servers, routers, firewalls, and high performance computing systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Establish system information requirements using analysis of information engineering results to support the development of cross-functional or large-scale automated information systems.
* Design system architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements and provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
* Plan project coordination, management, and engineering activities. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance.
* Perform evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs.
* Generate server side web pages using ASP, Microsoft .net, xml
* Generate client side web pages using vbscript, JavaScript, xml
* Design databases in both Oracle and Microsoft Access
* Generate scripts in Oracle using PL/SQL
* Generate scripts in Microsoft Access using Visual Basic
* Perform a systematic evaluation of the existing code and database(s) to become familiar with the application and its environment.
* Evaluate each of the requested changes to determine how it should be accomplished. Generate the technical specifications for each change. Each modification should have a backout and recovery strategy to mitigate adverse effects and reduce application downtime. Customer should be consulted to ensure that any user requirement issues are resolved.
* Document the procedures required to accomplish each of the requested changes as determined above. Perform the modifications as documented. Perform the modifications as documented.
* Provide documentation to the POCs on the requested changes. Organize the documentation into a single document
* Test the application to ensure that the changes perform as the customer requested. Test results will be documented.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Bachelors degree
* Work with XML
* Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Server
* Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
* Have a working knowledge of Apache

* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Experience working with the above technologies
* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
