Northrop Grumman Information Systems Sector is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD.
The qualified applicant will become an integral team member within a Northrop Grumman Essex Business Unit Intelligence Program.
Role:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Ensures software standards are met.
Requirements:
BS Degree and a minimum of 14 years related experience;
Familiarity with code development, test & configuration management tools such as ClearQuest, ClearCase & Maven
Experience supporting software architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems);
Some applicable programming language such as the following: C++, JAVA, J2EE, XML, XSD, UNIX scripting languages
Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph
Desired Skills:
Experience working with Intelligence customer
Prior experience working in a Linux environment
Active TS/SCI with FS PG
