Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Intelligence Division, within a large, accomplished program of the ESSEX Operating Unit Program.


Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.


Requirements:

BS Degree and minimum 20 years of related experience functioning in a technical role in projects and programs for Government or Industry customers. Lack of degree may be substituted with commensurate years of experience in addition to the minimum years required.
Experience should encompass system architecture, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation
Experience in the following: Solaris and Linux; Solaris, Linux, and Windows utilities and techniques to diagnose and correct performance bottlenecks.
Significant experience in the following: Designing complex collection systems;
Integrating systems using multiple operating systems
(Solaris, Linux, Windows 2000);
Performing tradeoff studies
System performance analysis
Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required for this position.


Desired Skills:

Experience in Agile methods is desired
Strong listening, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are important
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must
Must be team and customer focused and be able to work within tight deadline constraints
