Physical Security Program Analyst

The Northrop Grumman Information Systems (NGIS) sector is seeking an experienced Physical Security Program Analyst to join our team. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Social Security Administration (SSA) Physical Security Project responsible for review, analysis and updating physical security policies and procedures. Analyst will be stationed at the SSA Main Complex in Woodlawn, MD. Work requirements include the analysis of existing security measures and practices in each facility; and to provide findings and recommendations, with references and cost estimates, for corrective actions to enhance the Agency's physical security program.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Review, analyze and update physical security policies and procedures.
-Develop trend reports and analytical summaries of security data collected during facility surveys.
-Assist in the planning and coordination of approximately 250 Physical Security Survey (PSS) Reviews.
-Apply a thorough knowledge and understanding of security issues, such as armed security guard service, risk assessment, facility protection and hardening, office layout, crime prevention through environmental design, traffic flow, parking, investigations, employee protection, workplace violence, emergency preparedness, intrusion detection alarm systems, lighting controls, access control systems, closed-circuit televisions, central monitoring stations, and duress alarm systems. Assist in the review of the Administrative Instruction Manuals System (AIMS).
-Provide oral and written communications and reports.
-Contribute to the development of Cost Estimates and Implementation Plan (CEIP) to improve the security at the surveyed SSA Offices.
-Help in the preparation of Baseline Security Matrix and related reports.
Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed:
-Bachelors degree and Five years of security experience. Four additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree requirement.
-Five (5) years in responsible charge of planning and implementing a security function; Experience means that the individual has been personally engaged in security on a full-time basis, or as his or her primary duty. Included is: Experience as a security professional in the protection of assets, in the public or private sector, criminal justice system, government intelligence, or investigative agencies.
-Experience with companies, associations, government, or other organizations providing services or products, including consulting firms, provided the duties and responsibilities substantively relate to the design, evaluation, or equipment, or development and operation of services, for protection of assets in the private or public sectors.
-Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
-Verifiable proficiency in Database development and experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Bachelors Degree in Security or Criminal Justice, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or similar professional certification.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
