Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems is a world leader in advanced radar system design and development. We are developing the next generation radar architectures for UHF to W band. We currently provide radars for surface-based, airborne, and space-based operation (e.g. AMDR, G/ATOR, F-22, Joint Strike Fighter, F-16, B-1B, AWACS, MESA, and UAV systems such as Global Hawk).
Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems is growing, and we are seeking engineers with radar experience to work on counter-air radar system analysis and design. Candidates must have a strong background in digital signal processing and modeling radar systems using tools such as Matlab. Experience with Electronic Attack and Electronic Protection (EA/EP) is strongly preferred.
Successful candidates will join a dynamic team and will have opportunities to work in Airborne Moving Target Indication (AMTI) and Pulse Doppler radar mode development and performance modeling, including such application areas as Search and Track algorithms, Kalman filtering, radar calibration, Electronic Warfare (EW), Electronic Protection (EP), Electronic Attack (EA), Non-Cooperative Target Recognition (NCTR), Digital Beam Forming (DBF), Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP), bistatic and multi-static radar systems, and Passive Coherent Location (PCL). Career development paths are available in purely technical, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership, functional management, and program management paths.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BS, MS, or PhD in EE or related Engineering discipline, Physics, or Mathematics. 5 years minimum relevant Radar System Engineering experience demonstrating strong background in signal processing and modeling radar systems using tools such as Matlab. Must have or have the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Electronic Attack and Electronic Protection (EA/EP) is strongly preferred. TOP SECRET, SCI, and special access clearances are highly desired.
This position may be filled at a Band 3 or Band 4 level depending upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.
COMMON JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Typical Minimum Education / Experience:
9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
MULTIPLE POSITIONS. Relocation Assistance Available. Security Clearance Required.
