Northrop Grumman, the nation's largest global defense contractor, is looking for a Software System Integrator to configure and integrate software systems. However, this position is not your average software development position; quite the opposite. The kinds of daily fires that must be put out in the spirit of critical and timely integration is what often frustrates developers but is exactly what the candidate filling this position would thrive on. Frequently, the software and systems to be integrated were never designed or intended to work together, as each program was created in its own environment and on its own platform. For example, Vendor A has submitted a WebLogic enterprise application; Vendor B has done the same. These all work well on their own WebLogic instance but, when co-deployed, have undesirable interactions. Are the issues in the software or in the WebLogic configuration? The candidate must be able to troubleshoot and differentiate these types of issues.

Qualifications
Must possess a BS in a technical arena coupled with a minimum of 5 years related experience
Must enjoy troubleshooting and solving hard problems
Must be methodical and have the ability to troubleshoot issues with good engineering rigor
Must be comfortable on Unix, Linux, and/or Windows platforms
Must possess the ability to deploy enterprise application on BEA WebLogic, WebSphere and JBoss, including configuration experience with these servers Ability to write basic scripts using shell scripting or PerlHigh attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to be flexible, work on multiple projects at once and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Should have experience with at least one of the following provisioning/installation tools: InstallShield, Altiris, Wise, WLST or equivalent; Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
This position is posted as a dual band 03/04. The candidate's skills, experience and qualifications will determine the appropriate salary band.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with VMware ESX server, Lab Manager, Virtual Infrastructure Client; Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE); Ability to perform app server performance tuning, clustering, etc.; Ability to troubleshoot HTML, JSP, JavaScript, and Web Service application; Ability to troubleshoot applications written in Java, C, C++, Visual Basic, and other languages; Administration experience with Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server; Experience with TCP/IP, SNMP, NFS, SMB, DHCP, DNS.
