PNT System Architect – 188697
Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems seeks to hire a senior architect in the area of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) to support its Advanced Concepts and Technologies Division. This individual will be responsible for translating customer mission needs into PNT requirements, conceiving system-level approaches to meeting those requirements, developing associated technology roadmaps, and supporting programs that develop these technologies. This individual will also support business development and capture efforts for systems that play a role in meeting PNT-related mission needs.
This position is posted at a 05/06 level. Experience and qualification of individual candidates will determine the appropriate band.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors in an engineering discipline with 20+ years related experience (or 18 years with a Masters or 15 years with a PhD). The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successful leadership in the area of system architecture, particularly in the capacity to integrate diverse technologies at a system (or system of systems) level to meet challenging requirements. Past experience with PNT-related technologies in their various implementations (GPS and its augmentations, inertial, comms, other aiding systems) is required, as is the ability to rapidly understand new and emerging technologies and their role in PNT. Must have a strong background in Integration & test of communications systems. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required. An active Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DoD and other Government agencies in the area of requirements generation and validation and program execution highly desired. Program management experience is desirable but not required.
