Northrop Grumman positions are available in Monterey, CA supporting the Defense Manpower Data Center's (DMDC). Our client supports the information management needs of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness (OUSD/P&R) and a wide variety of customers both within and outside the Department of Defense. It is imperative the candidate of choice be experienced in the Human Resource Community of Practice, and able to write and speak effectively with all levels of staff, to include high-ranking Department of Defense Executives. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
Human Resource Generalist:
Provide HR Benefit Support: Administer and communicate benefit programs, policies and procedures, covering benefit topics such as: annual leave, annual sick leave, retirement programs, workers' compensation, medical/dental/life insurance coverage, saving programs (TSP), leave of absence, etc. Evaluate present programs through research, surveys, and trend analysis.
Provide HR Recruiting and Performance Management Support: Assist Senior and Executive Management with performance appraisal and performance management processes across the organization. Evaluate employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, qualifications and other data pertinent to classification, selection and referral. Within Government guidelines, write comprehensive position descriptions and supporting documentation.
Provide problem resolution: Ability to work with and develop relationships with other Government agencies to respond to employee inquiries.
Provide HR Records Management: Implement and maintain human resources information and related policies and procedures to obtain record and process employee information. Provide retrieval ability to produce employee information for analysis and decision-making, statistical data and other employee-related reports as required.
Administrative Generalist/Executive Assistant
Demonstrate proficiency with accuracy and organizational skills. Ability to learn multiple computer applications and difficult concepts quickly.
Illustrate excellent written and verbal communication skills,
Perform a variety of operation support services in the areas of: meeting/event/conference planning, correspondence, time reporting, expense reporting, work schedules, facilities, human resources, procurement, travel, security and so forth.
Provide a variety of office support services in the areas of: memorandum/document creation and supporting documentation, employee communications, and Senior and Executive Management calendar scheduling. Serves as back-up to the Executive Administrative Assistant. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office while providing superior service to multiple senior executives, technical managers and professional staff with day-to-day operational matters.
Provide backup support for other operational services outside their primary duties.
Experience in the following areas is an asset: Knowledge of military and civilian HR matters, NSPS, recruitment.
