EMI\EMC Engineer 3 – 189524
Must have a strong background in EMI/EMC Mil standards and specifications, particularly MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464, in order to tailor requirements to meet specified product performance. Specific duties include performing EMI/EMC, lightning and EMP analysis as well as specifying design features to assure compliance with system EMC requirements. Also, the creation of test reports, procedures, and EMI/EMC control plans is a requirement. Experience performing EMI/EMC testing is a must. Must be a self-starter, versatile, flexible, a problem solver, and have a willingness to work as part of a team. Candidate must be willing to occasionally travel to locations elsewhere in the corporation, in order to assist in troubleshooting efforts and work during off shifts. Development of clear, accurate and up-to-date documentation is also a requirement for this position. Requirement for employment is to be able to obtain or currently have a DOD Secret clearance. Basic Qualifications: BSEE degree plus a minimum of 5 years of direct experience working in an EMI test facility and designing hardware to qualify with MIL-STD-461. Preferred Qualifications: BSEE with 5 to 8 years of direct experience designing and testing aircraft for compliance with MIl-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464. NARTE Certification is extremely desirable.
