Electrical Engineer to work on design and development of digital hardware for space applications. Assignments vary based on individual interest and background in the fields of digital communications, signal processing, network routing and switching protocols, and computer architectures. Activities may include conceptual design, architecture development, digital board design, analysis, and integration and test. Basic Qualifications: BS degree plus a minimum of 9 Years experience in digital electronics design or seven years with a MS degree and related experience. High speed digital circuit board design experience in frequency ranges from 25 MHz up to 5 GHz. Experience in designing with LVDS, ECL, PECL and other high speed type circuits. Need thorough understanding of transmission line effects and experience in signal integrity analysis and worst case circuit analysis. Preferred Experience: Experience in mixed signal circuit board design is highly desirable. Familiarity with PCB layout and routing issues, as well as multi-layer circuit board technology is highly desirable. Working knowledge of PCI bus, 1553 bus or IEE1394 Firewire and other common spacecraft interfaces are highly desirable. Must have good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. A secret clearance as well as an SSBI is highly desirable.
