Northrop Grumman's Cyber and SIGINT Systems' ESL sites, located in Sacramento and San Jose, is a premier supplier of airborne reconnaissance systems, strategic signal processing systems, intelligence analyses, and telecommunication system products, technologies and services for national security, defense, public sector, and commercial customers. This job is located in San Jose. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of exciting, high-visibility programs with significant growth potential. JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful applicant will: 1) Support flight test planning for formal test program integrating new SIGINT capabilities onto manned and unmanned aircraft; 2) Perform trade studies related to a SIGINT flight test program; (3) Support the interface with government and platform contractor flight testing personnel; 4) Support efforts by Associate Contractors to ensure all aspects of a given mission are in place; 5) Support flight test activities on-site to help ensure performance to plan; and 6) Prepare flight test reports and associated analyses. This position requires travel, mostly within California. During some periods of time it may exceed 25%. The following are the BASIC QUALIFICATIONS for the position: 1) At least 5 years of experience with at least a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering; 2.) Aircraft electronics systems development; 3) I&T of electronic systems on manned or unmanned aircraft; 4) Interface with government flight testing personnel; and, 5) Systems Engineering processes. ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES and experiences that are applicable to the job include: 1) Experience with the use of requirement and verification management tools such as DOORS; and 2) Familiarity with formal test programs.
