Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.

Typical Minimum Education / Experience:
2 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 0 Years with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed with the job's education requirements. Example: If this job required a Bachelor's degree + 5 years relevant experience the equivalency would equal HS diploma + 9 years job related experience.
Special Requirements: Special Requirements: Desired candidate should have experience with PEO SHIPS Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) community and / or understanding of US Navy surface combatants and amphibious ships classes. Candidate should have knowledge of configuration management procedures and ILS processes and/or have 3M Coordinator experience and be a qualified, senior Navy leader from the Engineering / Combat Systems Ratings with experienced as either: Machinist Mate, Electrician Mate, Electronics Technician ,Fire Controlman or Sonar Technician; and previous experience as a Navy On-site Logistics Representative (OLSR) and knowledge and access of CDMD-OA is also a plus. Position encompasses providing waterfront liaison assistance to the PEO SHIPS Modernization Certification Teams and PEO SHIPS Program Office regarding waterfront initiated ILS issues and problems. Job requires supporting accomplishment of HM&E efforts / jobs screened to Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) for West Coast amphibious and combatant ship classes; and involves identifying ILS deficiencies which impact ship repairs, determining core logistics problematic causes (such as: PMS MRCs, COSAL documents, part obsolescence issues, stock inadequacies, etc.), and providing feedback / recommendations to life cycle managers to support resolutions. Must have the ability to leverage shipboard experience to determine shipboard maintenance and logistics requirements and help resolve waterfront needs through the use of standard Navy supply system, residual stock, lateral support, technical manuals, or Configuration Data Manager Database (CDMD-OA). From a San Diego location, help resolve supply support / maintenance requirements of overseas deployed / transiting ships and also provides assistance to Program Manager's Representative(s) (PMR) at that location. Candidate must be able to obtain / maintain confidential level clearance. Security Clearance Required.
