Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the development; manufacturing, assembly and testing of missile launching and handling systems, propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.



Develops, modifies, applies and maintains in-process and final product quality control and quality assurance protocol for the processing of raw materials into partially finished or finished product. Assures contractual process requirements are met in practice. Ensures work is completed in accordance with the documented quality management system. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating products for conformance to requirements. Performs nonconforming product analysis and disposition. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Develops and maintains quality metrics, analyzes product and process quality data, leads process quality improvement efforts employing the quality engineering toolset and a disciplined problem solving methodology. May specialize in the areas of design review, incoming material verification, supplier qualification and performance improvement, manufacturing process qualification and control, or inspection and test methods.

Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or industrial technology field is required. Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in areas of complex part inspection, machining and fabrication, gear production, welding; working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), ability to read engineering drawings; experience in DoD environment and ASQ CQE a plus; demonstrated advancement in responsibilities and a minimum of 3 years in the position described above.
