Northrop Grumman IS (TASC) is seeking Database Systems Engineers to be part of a Systems Transition Database Management team. Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Engineering Program is seeking highly motivated Database Engineer/Developers to support project development and software engineering functions on the program. These positions entail serving as a systems developer/engineer for SQL Server and a suite of collaboration tools and services. The candidate will manage and provide the architecture for all .Net SQL-based applications. The primary responsibilities include experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a frequently used service. Experience with Oracle application development for web applications in a .Net development environment. Experience with architecting and debugging T_SQL. Experience in managing internal and external Microsoft SQL Server database security.
Candidate is responsible for development and maintenance of key data sources. Responsibilities include:
System requirements analysis and documentation
Develop and maintain integrated Entity and IT Audit databases and database interfaces
Analyze and implement new system requirements
Assist team members in providing outputs in requested formats for internal and external coordination
Automate and simplify existing reporting and data gathering
Consolidate and link multiple stove-piped data sources
Create custom reports, queries, and data analysis
Design, develop, and maintain graphical user interfaces
Develop, maintain system and database documentation
Mandatory Requirements:
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
B.S. with 9 years experience or 7 with Masters in Computer Science , Business Administration, , System Engineering, or equivalent experience in IT technologies and programming.
Experience with creating databases, triggers, and stored procedures for Microsoft SQL Server
Strong understanding of ANSI SQL and/or T-SQL
Experience with Visual Basic Applications for Excel and Access, ADO, .Net, ASP.Net and C# for web access
Team player and self-starter; able to perform well at multiple organizational levels with minimal guidance; willing to learn new technologies.
Experience in end-to-end creation of a relational databases
Strong understanding of and experience in designing database queries
Experience with object-oriented programming related to Oracle database applications
Strong system requirements analysis capabilities
