Systems Administrator 3 – 188755
Northrop Grumman Information Systems (NGIS) has an opportunity for a Senior System Administrator. Oversees data storage and backup capability using tape, SAN, and NAS solutions, Patch and update Microsoft Windows OS and server platform, Ensures servers are in compliance with DoD IA requirements, updates servers that are not in compliance, management of network user accounts in accordance with standard DoD IG procedures, management of user network shares, permissions, and quotas, manage user mailboxes, public folders, and distribution lists, management of Active Directory, policies, and objects, management network printers, and scanners, assist with the development, testing, updating and deployment of computer images, management of software deployment systems, and with the packaging, testing, and deployment of software and security updates.
Candidate should have advance knowledge of the Active Directory structure and be able to skillfully add, delete or move users, organizational units, email accounts, computers, printer, and all other logical objects. Candidate should have expert level knowledge and ability in maintaining Microsoft Active Directory, Unix (Sun Solaris)Veritas Netbackup, Server Monitoring Tools, Bash scripting, Gold Disk, Retina Scanning, WSUS, Arconis, IIS, Base- lining server security and user controls, STIGS and SRRs. Candidate will be responsible for creating or maintaining system documentation including, System Admin Guides and Backup Disaster Recovery document.
Additionally, maintain automated scanning, patch deployment, and administration tools as specified by DIA. Will Additional duties include: PC hardware/software installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting; Basic system and network administration functions; Response to inquiries and requests for assistance with the region's computer systems; Coordination with other IT areas to resolve problems if necessary; Participation in the planning and execution of special projects.
BS degree, 6 - 8 years related experience. Certified in the computing environment (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), UNIX foundation course ware, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA).
Security Clearance Required.
