Instructional Designer/Technical Trainer - The successful candidate will apply instructional systems design (ISD) principles to the design and development of interactive, distance learning and instructor-led training content for Government clients. This individual must possess and/or demonstrate:
* Expertise/experience in curriculum development and technical training for the following topics: Web Technologies, Java Technologies, Database Technologies, Object-Oriented Programming, and .NET Technology.
* Experience in conducting instructor-led systems training in a computer aided environment
* Complete understanding of full software life cycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, documentation, and deployment.
* Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to produce clear, written English for narrative scripts, on-screen text, and instructions.
* Knowledge of and experience with information architecture development, Web usability principles, and SCORM standards and constraints.
* Creativity and imagination to bring fresh ideas to the design of robust, engaging, and effective instruction.
The candidate must be detail-oriented and a multi-tasker. The position requires a high degree of team interaction; therefore, strong communication skills and openness to mentoring are mandatory. Secondary expertise in any of the following areas in addition to instructional design and training delivery is highly desired: programming, database design, Web design, Multimedia Design, Flash/Captivate and action scripting, XML and HTML.
An advanced degree in education or an information technology field and a minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
