As Section Manager, you will provide performance management, career and business development mentoring, training opportunity coordination, personnel utilization management and business opportunity identification; maintain close communications with section members to ensure all appropriate information is disseminated from Corporate, Business Unit, Operating Unit, and Department management; administer the Performance Managing Planning process with section member's to establish performance and technical/professional goals as well as training and career development plans; review and recommend compensation actions; assist the Department Manager in defining and executing the Operating Unit's/Department's business objectives and approach for capturing and sustaining core business base; mentor section members on performance, career development and business development processes; identify and attract highly qualified staff; and work closely with Project and Program Managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate must have a BS or MS in engineering or other related technical field. Three years of project management and business development experience is also required. Previous line management experience with a demonstrated ability to work across Operating Units is highly desired.
Note: this Section Manager position is an additional duty, the incumbent is expected to have current chargeable coverage on an IC or DoD program.
Job Qualifications: Masters degree with 10 years of experience and 5+ years experience in the Intelligence Community. Desire a minimum of two years managerial experience, which can include task and project management. Demonstrated marketing, business growth, and/or business development skills.
