Field Engineer Mission Payload Engineer – 187430
Accepting applicants at multiple band levels. Responsible for monitoring and verifying multiple ground systems hardware/software configuration and performance. Perform mission event data extraction and analysis, data backups and retrievals. Perform command and control and monitor satellite state-of-health for multiple assets and analyze collected data. Ability to learn and understand satellite sub-systems functions and how they interface with one another. Timely problem identification and resolution is a must along with the ability to multi-task in a time-critical environment. Satellite command plan generation and test, telemetry processing, and early on-orbit test experience a plus. Ability to work a continuously rotating shift schedule, which could include weekends and holidays supporting 24/7 operations. Complete system documentation and training guides as required. Interface with hardware and software peers and government personnel. Ability to work and travel between 3 locations in Aurora, Boulder and Colorado Springs, CO.

Band 2 positions require 2-4 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree. Band 3 positions require 5-8 years experience and a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, preferably engineering or computer science. Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute degree requirements. Candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance, within last 2 years, and a current background investigation, last 5 years.

Common Job Description
Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customers organization.

Typical Minimum Education / Experience:
5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
