Accepting applicants at multiple band levels. Missile Modeling Engineer to support the Threat Modeling Center on the JRDC Program at Schriever AFB, CO. The Threat Modeling Center is responsible for the development and delivery of high fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency. This position requires a mid-level missile modeling engineer with experience in model design and development. Primary responsibilities include: designing, developing, maintaining, modifying, and testing ballistic missile models for integrating ballistic missile and aircraft systems into high resolution simulation media in support of Ballistic Missile Defense events. This is a technical engineering oriented position. Attention to detail is a must. Candidate must be customer focused, able to work in a team environment, and able to produce reliable models, products and documentation within established deadlines.

As a level-3 engineer - provide mentoring and direction to junior engineers; team lead and problem resolution support and CAM and scheduling support.
As a level-2 engineer - provide support to team leads, integration team and other software engineers; assist with CAM and scheduling activities; and interface with government/contractor customers.

Minimum four (4) years engineer or related work experience with at least 8 years of engineering experience. Experience in Modeling and Simulation. Knowledge of aerospace fundamentals and design principles. DoD Secret Clearance required and candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Experience in 6 DoF Missile modeling. A strong math, physics or engineering background is desired. Familiarity with intelligence products, missile defense doctrine, concepts of operations, tactics, techniques, and procedures is desirable. Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics and missile performance parameters necessary to model ballistic missiles is highly desired. A working knowledge of C or C++ are desirable.

Common Job Description
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Typical Minimum Education / Experience:
5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
