Systems Administrator 3 – 189824
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a System Administrator 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Systems Administrator will work on a classified project, to support installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, hardware and software issues, and associated tools in an Active Directory environment.
Periodic after hours work may be required.
Occasional travel will be required.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Administrative and operational support for a variety of Windows servers geographically dispersed across the world; system patching and upgrades; capacity planning; performance monitoring; problem resolution; and keeping of timely metrics on server/network availability.
* The installation and configuration of servers and associated client and network equipment; ensure that system configurations are compliant with system documentation; test and apply software security patches as directed; implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides; participate in Segment Verification Testing (SVT), and Integrated System Test (IST) and mitigate deficiencies identified during these phases; and write and maintain documentation, such as processes and procedures. Successful candidate will exhibit a strong team concept approach and excellent communication and customer service skills, while being self motivated.
* Must have the ability to quickly adapt to new situations, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* 6 Years experience with Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field; 4 Years with Masters; 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree
* 4 or more years relevant work experience as a Windows server system administrator.
* Experience with: Windows 2003 Server and Windows 2000/XP.
* Experience supporting Windows servers in a cluster.
* Experience with Group Policy Objects
* Knowledge of VB & Batch Scripting
* Knowledge of NAS/SAN environment.
* Understand processes and procedures for server upgrading.
* Position requires a current Secret Clearance
