Systems Engineer 4 SADIL facility – 197095
Northrop Grumman is seeking a systems engineer with strong domain experience in software-defined radio (SDR) communications. This individual will work independently and with senior technical staff within the Electronic Fires IPT to create, design, and develop elements of SDR-based communications systems (i.e., RF and microwave communications systems that are radio based and software programmable). Other responsibilities will include prototyping communications concepts using simulations tools and hardware, programming FPGAs and microprocessors, and analyzing, testing and troubleshooting communications systems. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree with 9 years experience (Masters preferred with 7 years experience) in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline as well as experience in C/Python and software defined radio programming. Candidate must hold a current top secret clearance, with current SSBI required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in GNU Software Defined Radio and USRP, and Verilog / FPGA development is also desired, as well as superior written and oral communication skills.
