Where Technology and Teamwork come together... Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a System Architect/System Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.
The qualified applicant will provide architecture and engineering support for Northrop Grumman's Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC) Mission System (JMS) contract.
The JMS will provide an integrated program of Space Situational Awareness (Environmental Effects, System Status & Characteristics, Space Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (SIPB), Sensor Tasking Network Optimization, Space High Accuracy Catalog (Obs Correlation/Lost Obj), Conjunction Processing and Maneuver Detection &Processing); Space Threat Characterization (Attack Detection, Attack Characterization, Attack Attribution, Attack Impact and DCS Response Options) and Space Command and Control (Warning, Assessment, COA/Planning, Operational Level Tasking and User-Defined
The Engineer will:

Be a recognized expert in his/her technical discipline.
Apply and or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific/technical principles, theories and concepts.
Have the ability to act independently to resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of the subject architecture.
Recommend technical solutions with respect to integration challenges and efforts.
Assist in the planning, managing and evaluating of enterprise architecture and in the fielding of architecture products and processes across a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities.
Perform product/system integration analysis, product trade studies, technology/risk assessments, Enterprise Change Request (ECR) engineering analysis, system-of-systems design, and technical documentation.
Will support the full spectrum of activities specifically focused on supporting the systems engineering, fielding, modernization and infrastructure activities as required.
Will support various engineering teams to accomplish assigned tasks and will be responsible for leadership activities as required.
Will ensure technical quality and standards are followed.
Will employ standard methods, processes and tools to accomplish analysis, problem diagnosis and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning, and related activities.
Provide support to functional areas including requirements analysis, Change Request analysis and implementation planning, integration and test, fielding, sustainment, training, documentation, and system assessment.
Support planning to ensure capabilities are fully integrated into the reference architecture and support government objectives.
Will be a key technical interface with Government personnel to identify required integration activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables, and resolve engineering issues.

Required Skills:
Extensive experience in enterprise architectures in information/data related mission areas, specifically Command and Control (C2), Space and Intelligence/surveillance/reconnaissance (ISR) domains.
Experience in software engineering, system requirements analysis, hardware and network capabilities and product lines, software/hardware technology assessment.
Experience with software integration and test.
Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOAs), net-centric enterprises, and associated infrastructure development.
Understanding of current state-of-the-art architecture and systems engineering disciplines, including architecture-centric systems engineering.
Past experience in successfully managing an engineering staff.
Ability to manage all technical aspects of a major development program to include technology planning, generating/composing technical documents, communicate requirements, conduct formal reviews, and generate/manage program deliverables.
Ability to analyze and solve complex system problems.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, must be able to work effectively as a team member with contractor and Government staffs across the enterprise.
Ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
Ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions.
Lead trade studies, define acceptance criteria to be approved by the customer.
Lead requirement definition/decomposition efforts with customers.
Experience with DoDAF products.
Experience with systems architect products.
Experience with UML.

Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in a technical field; additional years experience may be considered in lieu of degree
14+ years technical experience
Active TS/SCI
MS degree desired
