Senior Safety Engineer – 187208
Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to provide technical assistance to the FAA's Air Traffic Organization for multiple FAA contracts in the En Route and Oceanic domain. Significant tasks include systems safety analyses, architecture studies, system engineering trade analyses, requirements and interfaces development, and software engineering. Engineering aspects of the position require the ability to draft and review technical documentation. The documentation includes but is not limited to: white papers, memorandum of agreement/understanding, safety documentation, technical procedures and operational concepts.

Candidate must be a self-starter, team player, be flexible, and possess the ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to a fast-paced work environment. Candidate must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be proficient with Microsoft Office products. Those with aviation, FAA, or NASA experience are preferred. General knowledge of the FAA or aviation is required. Successful candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in a technical/engineering field and a minimum of 15 years experience. A focus in aviation safety is desired. Security Clearance Required.
