Northrop Grumman Technical Services sector is seeking a Strategic Planner (A39804) Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Team supporting Joint Staff (J-8) providing functional area expertise for the Global Force Management Data Initiative (GFM-DI). The purpose of the initiative is to develop a joint hierarchical method to organize force structure for integration across Service lines. The GFM-DI supports the overall GFM process, enabling insight into global availability of U.S. forces, and providing a means to assess risks associated with proposed allocation, assignment, and apportionment solutions. Ultimately, the GFM-DI will enable the linking of force structure to planning, programming, readiness, and personnel systems in a manner truly transformational to the Department.
Roles and Responsibilities: * Provide Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) Support for access to retrieve, draft, and transmit TS/SCI level email for the GFM-DI office * Support the required interaction with USSOCOM, OUSD(I), and National Security Agency Operations Security support staff for Technical Interchange Meetings * Provide support to the GFM Data Management Processes * Possess comprehensive knowledge of intelligence community (IC) operations and activities * Monitor the IC Org Server Implementation, to include providing technical advice on cross domain solutions
Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: * Bachelors degree with 6 years experience OR Masters with 4 years of task related experience * Position requires a current TS Clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: * Experience serving on the Joint Staff or other staff particularly in the JS J8 or J5 * Understanding of military command and control, force structure, and unified and specified level joint and service planning processes for force allocation and apportionment * Experience with JCIDS (CJCS 3170) and/or the Global Force Management Process and National Security and/or functional capability boards
