SR Windows Systems Administrator – 188510
We are seeking a SR Windows System Administrator to participate in the installation, configuration, evaluation and prototyping of Information Assurance and Cross Domain solutions that include the Windows Operating System in their configuration. Position is located in Washington, DC and convenient to Metro.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Systems Engineering: Installation, setup and configuration of Microsoft Windows 2000/20003 for secured environments on Intel processor platforms.
Microsoft Systems Administration: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, systems engineering and installation of technology upgrades, security patch/software updates and data backups and restores for disaster and recovery of critical data. Perform system and application monitoring for performance and anomalies. Perform Microsoft Active Directory maintenance and administration.
Microsoft Exchange Engineer/Administrator: Maintain MS Exchange 2000/2003 Server; perform necessary maintenance, troubleshoot and repair messaging and server problems, implement proper disaster recovery procedures, administer user accounts and mailbox stores.
Application Administration: COTS and GOTS applications related to Information Assurance and Cross Domain Solutions are a big plus.
Other duties: Maintain operational procedures and guides and maintain hardware and software inventories.
Job Qualifications:
US Citizenship and a current active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance is required with investigation and/or update completed within the past 5 years
A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with ten (10) years of progressive experience in Windows based computer systems and operations with a minimum of five (5) years of practical experience.
MCSE 2000/2003/2007 Certification is desired.
Have the discipline to adhere to implemented process standards and security practices and procedures
Experience with systems monitoring tools, systems maintenance tools, backup and recovery , and infrastructure applications (DNS, web proxy, SMTP) are required
Minimum of 5 years experience in the engineering, implementing, and administering Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2007 networks. Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2000/2003 and Exchange 2000/2003/2007.
Ability to work as a team member, produce results under pressure, and work in a fast-paced evaluation and prototyping environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Position is contingent upon contract award.
