Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Security Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA.

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's industry-leading security team. The Security Manager/CSSO opening is for an experienced security professional with emphasis in both the personnel and program security arenas. The candidate will report directly to the Integrated Intelligence Systems Business Unit Security Manager and interface with a team of highly skilled security specialists as well as supervise two to four security specialists. The successful candidate will have intimate knowledge of all customer policies and procedures regarding the implementation of the personnel and program security requirements in a contractor facility. The candidate is responsible for a full range of duties regarding multiple security disciplines fulfilling operational requirements. These disciplines include physical security, operational security, security education and awareness, information security and COMSEC.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain a full service industrial security program supporting an Operating Unit within IIS in accordance with the NISPOM, its supplement, and all other applicable U.S. government security directives, guidelines, orders and policies.
* Manage a 2-4 person team of security specialists handling all aspects of a personnel security clearance processing program.
* Interpret and enforce Government and company security policies and provide direction and guidance with regard to regulations.
* Proactively manage the JPAS and SCAS personnel security data bases to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure personnel security clearances are processed for all required employees in an efficient, quick fashion;
* Enforce visitor control protocols when necessary (both incoming and outgoing) to include the badge and access control programs;
* Strong records management controls; ensure that all records relating to Security are managed and controlled in accordance with prescribed standards. Develops processes and creates tools to facilitate the effective coordination of records assigned to the program. Responsible for analyzing problems and issues involving the development of records management systems.
* Experience in the physical security (alarm, access control and guard response; new SCIF construction; maintenance of associated documentation; maintenance of certification and accreditation of facilities) of SCIF areas is required.
* Conduct security briefings; assist in the implementation of an active Security Awareness and Education Program; lead inspections and audits for the facility.
* Applicant must be a self-starter and have the desire and ability to work independently, with limited supervision. Must be able to excel in multi-tasked and dynamic environments, prioritize, and manage to schedule. Applicant must present a professional demeanor and demonstrate excellent speaking, writing and organizational skills, enabling effective communications with team members, fellow employees and government officials.
* This role will require proven capabilities in leadership and management planning. The successful candidate will support the development of best practices and continual improvement. Candidate must have significant experience and knowledge of the Special Programs environment and working relationships with the leaders of the community. Candidate will interact with internal Program, Business and Sector management and will promote a culture of collaboration, discipline and crerativity.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Bachelors Degree (Years of experienced may be traded for the degree requirement).
* A firm knowledge of one or more functional areas of industrial security operations, gained from a combination of on-the-job experience, college course work, and formal security training programs is expected.
* A solid understanding of applicable laws, executive orders, government and customer regulations and/or company policies pertaining to the assigned functional area of Security responsibility is necessary.
* The ideal candidate will have a background in classified programs and a general understanding of USG security documents and requirements to include the NISPOM and DNI directives.
* Candidates must possess the skill and ability to perform moderately complex security tasks independently, or as part of a team.
* As required, the candidate may be expected to administer, plan and implement security programs and conduct briefings and presentations.
* An ability to successfully interact with all internal and external customers or Government security officials to perform security duties is essential.
* Ability to function as a team member sharing expertise and providing assistance outside normal duties as necessary. 
* Position requires a current TS/SCI Clearance and be willing to apply for SCI accesses and be willing to participate in the Government's industrial polygraph program.
