Provide maintenance control on all communications-electronics and utility equipment assigned to the 601st Air and Space Operations Center. Provide the end user with accurate information regarding major communications systems, computer problems, network availability and incident status reports. Troubleshoot problems and provide technical support for hardware, software, and network systems. Answer telephone calls, analyze problems by using automated diagnostic programs, and resolve recurring difficulties. Walk customers through the problem-solving steps. Access customer's accounts in order to assist them with their needs. Troubleshoots computer, software, and audio-visual equipment issues, maintain computers and peripherals, copiers, performs simple equipment repair equipment and /or coordinates repairs with the appropriate work center. Coordinate maintenance actions with associated telephone companies, FAA, AFFOR Communications Control Center (ACCC), and local maintenance personnel. Coordinate supply actions affecting equipment capability. Control all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions that generate an equipment status report; Disseminate status changes with all concerned agencies. Coordinate preventive maintenance inspections with maintenance work centers and using activities.
Must be able to work multiple project efforts; interface with contractors, government, and military personnel in an Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) environment. Be prepared to brief system outages and scheduled PMI's. Must be able to work shift work to accommodate the 24/7 mission. Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance prior to employment. Associate Degree with 6-10 years operational experience; will consider related work-experience as a substitute for education requirements. Must be a US citizen. Moving expenses not authorized.
