This position is for an Optical Master Tech with EO/IR systems test experience. Will be responsible for measuring and analyzing optical parameters. Tasks include writing test procedures, performing routine and complex calibrations, troubleshooting on optical, and to a lesser degree electrical and mechanical test equipment. Must be familiar with optics and test equipment used in characterizing lasers. Experience with the following measurements at various wavelengths is necessary: Laser Energy, Beam Profile Characteristics, Optical Alignments, Pulse Characteristics, along with working knowledge of fiber optics. Must have strong understanding of electro-optical system architecture, IR imaging system design/analysis, optical design and tolerancing/optimization. A working knowledge of lasers and IR imaging systems. In addition, the candidate shall work closely with other engineers and engineering disciplines, the DoD customer community, and Northrop Grumman qualified suppliers. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Minimum of Associates degree required.
