Roles and Responsibilities:
The Database Application Developer will serve as the database development subject matter expert and developer for a database development and application development project team. In this capacity the individual will participate in the customer requirement definition phase, provide design recommendations and conduct the database development, testing, and support integration of the database. The individual will evaluate design and implementation of existing database and application systems to ensure optimal efficiency and performance. Participate in project test activities as required. Work with the Project Manager and other key team members to gather requirements, design and implement the database(s) in alignment with the project schedule. Incorporate best practices, standards and processes as well as draw on team expertise to provide timely, technically sound recommendations that meet customer requirements. Conduct demonstrations, briefings and status reports as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Java Swing, Swing Layout Manager, Multi-threaded application, Swing Worker, Spring Framework
* Expect to incorporate Java Server Faces (JSF), STRUTS or other MVC architecture technology into the development environment
* JDBC experience with MySQL and Oracle l0g databases and applications
* Developing Java based applications with Stored Procedures, Functions and Views
* Software development and software engineering skills within a UNIX and Windows development environment
* Software Development and Engineering Practices; Information Management; Oral and Written Communication; Teaming; and Time Management
* Degree/Experience:
* Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related area with a minimum of 3 years database development experience is required
* An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related area is acceptable when combined with 5 years database application experience
* Position requires a current TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
* No relocation package is available for this opportunity
