Software Engineer
Professional Experience:
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Ft. Meade, MD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serve as the database/application developer on database and application development project teams. The individual will evaluate design and implementation of existing database and application systems to ensure optimal efficiency and performance of deployed applications and those being developed. Participate in project test activities as required. Work with the Project Manager and other key team members to gather requirements, design and implement the database(s) in alignment with the project schedule. Incorporate best practices, standards and processes as well as draw on team expertise and resources to provide timely, technically sound recommendations that meet customer requirements. Conduct demonstrations, briefings and status reports as required.
Experience:
* An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related area is acceptable when combined with two (2) years of development experience.
* J2EE and Java Server Pages. Expect to incorporate Java Server Faces (JSF) technology into the development environment as the technology matures to provide users with a richer client interface
* Oracle DB sever, PL/SQL, Sql Plus
* Developing Java based applications in Eclipse and J Developer.
* Developing in Oracle ADF UIX and Struts, Tiles, Spring
* Software Development and Engineering Practices; Information Management; Oral and Written Communication; Teaming; and Time Management
Final Grade determination based upon qualifications of selected candidate.
