Roles and Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Engineer shall be able to develop a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA) system-wide security architecture to defend against and minimize the potential threats for the entire SCADA system. In addition, the chosen candidate will design and implement information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management). Assesses and mitigates system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. Validating system security requirements definition and analysis, establishing system security designs, implementing security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures are key components of the position. Lastly, verifying security requirements; performing system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities and supporting secure systems operations and maintenance will occur with this opportunity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Skills:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar technical major plus nine years systems security engineering experience; or a Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar technical major plus seven years systems security engineering experience.
* At least six years experience practicing information assurance and computer network defense (CND) in general OR at least four years experience practicing information assurance and CND on SCADA systems.
* At least one year experience with a certification and accreditation process such as DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) or Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
* At least one year experience with formal policy and procedures for securing and protecting information systems such as Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DClD) 6/3, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503, or NIST Special Publications 800-30/37/39.
* Demonstrated experience developing system security engineering architecture papers including providing analysis of the security posture of existing systems and proposing comprehensive security architecture.
Desired Skills:
* Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications
* Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.
Position requires a current TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
