The Instructor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Ensure adequate preparation for all courses taught. Use the Education and Training Management System (ETMS) & Training Scheduling System (TSS) to plan, implement, and conduct courses in accordance with ISD approved methodology, which includes, but is not limited to the following: Work with the Scheduler and Master Librarian to ensure the classroom facility information and course data is current and available in the ETMS Website/TSS/DPTCA SharePoint. Provide instruction for all courses in accordance with the course's Plan of Instruction (POI). Ensure all class material and teaching aids required by the POI are available for each class conducted. Ensure required classroom equipment is available and operating for classes conducted. Ensure classroom size and furnishings meet or exceed the number of students being trained. Ensure training materials and aids are current, legible, and available for all classroom students. Ensure each student receives a course critique and instructions for completion, before course presentation. Ensure classroom environment (heating/air conditioning) is operating normally, or notify Service Area Manager (SAM) if correction actions are required. Provide minor course maintenance to ensure locally instructed courses remain current. Complete DPTCA workspace courseware updates, as required, for courseware maintenance. Be thoroughly familiar with the principles and policies of Air Force depot operations, Administration and Support and Management and Leadership type processes and procedures.
Education and Experience: Documented completion of an Air Force Instructional System Designer 3-week course or commercially equivalent course and AF Academic Instructor Course (AIC). Two-years' documented experience in the course subject area he or she instructs, in this case, the instructor must have general and supervisory experience, preferably in their area of specialty.
