Northrop Grumman Information Systems, located in Herndon, VA, has an opportunity for a junior level team-oriented Software Engineer to perform J2EE development for the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS) application. Candidate should have experience developing web-based applications using Java. Responsibilities will include: Develop detailed design from preliminary design; Develop JSP, Struts, EJB, TopLink code to interact with Oracle database; Unit test; Maintain project documentation; and Assist with troubleshooting user reported issues

The following are the basic qualifications for this position: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Minimum of 2 year of experience developing Java web-based applications. Solid interpersonal/communication skills. Experience developing in the J2EE framework is a plus. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance if needed.
