Operations Research Analyst 3 – 188302
Where will you find innovation and technology? Right here at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Northrop Grumman Technical Services sector is seeking a Operations Research Analyst 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Herndon, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Modeling and Simulation team within the Decision Support Department, developing models, simulations, and analytic tools for the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test and debug simulations of border control requirements and capabilities using ExtendSim and similar tools.
* Support user operational utility assessments
* Document model requirements, designs, test results
* Research current and planned border control mechanisms to support model development

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study in operations research, industrial engineering, system engineering, information systems, or a mathematics-intensive discipline.
* At least two years of experience developing discrete event models and simulations.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise personal initiative and assume additional responsibilities over time.
* Position requires a current Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Demonstrated expertise with ExtendSim
* Experience performing analysis or developing models with applicability to the Homeland Security problem domain
* Programming experience using C/C++, VBA
* Experience developing software tools for analysis of simulation results
* Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
