The Safeguard program is looking for a SW Engineer to lead, develop, and integrate software to run on the HART Portable Air-vehicle Information Exploitation Super-computer (PAIES) system that will ingest full motion video either in analog or digital format along with its associated metadata to improve the geo-registration of the video. The candidate must have working knowledge of C, C++, Linux, and SIMD Vector Processing as well as MISB and STANAG 4609 standards and KLV metadata. Embedded software development experience is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills to integrate software developed by a team that is geographically dispersed are essential. Basic Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree in CS or other related technical field and a minimum of 9 years of experience directly related to this position. Good communication skills are essential. Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment is essential. A working knowledge of portable open source Linux-based development processes, languages, and tools including C, C++, Java, Mono/.NET, and Windows/cygwin is necessary. The candidate must have hands on experience with SOAP, XML, and SOA. All applicants must qualify for a US Government Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in CS or other related technical field and a minimum 7 years of experience.
