Design expertise necessary to support spacecraft avionics systems requirements definition and specification, box & board test assets and associated procedures. Expertise to design analog and digital circuits and develop associated drawings to implement state-of-the-art space craft avionics system. Circuit designers will be expected to have an expertise in Spice based tools and associated design environments. A strong demonstrated background in, design, analysis, modeling and simulation is required. Proficiency with PSpice (ORCad) is essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, development, test and evaluation of analog and digital circuits for spacecraft systems and related products. Responsibilities typically include requirements capture and definition, circuit design, support and guidance during PWB layout, analysis, simulation, design review preparation and participation. Engineering responsibility also extends into systems integration and test at the systems and spacecraft level.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of mission specific space avionics systems. Support Business Development team. Works with customer and design team to define mission specific requirements for space craft avionics. Develops avionics requirements / specifications / Interface Control Drawings/ verification matrix / EGSE requirements / test procedure / test script requirements. Work within an engineering team to implement circuits design, document designs and verify compliance to all requirements. May be selected to act as avionics box lead.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and 9+ years related experience. At least 5 years of experience as a digital engineer for space or aerospace hardware is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Candidate must be independent, highly motivated and skilled in verbal, written technical communication / presentations.
Ability to obtain security clearance is required.
