Engineer – 194522
Establish processes and procedures used to install, align, troubleshoot and integrate at both subsystem and system level. Perform all Installation Activities including unloading of equipment, mechanical and electrical assembly, system integration, adjustments/alignments. Perform all System Acceptance tasks including customer familiarization training (operations and maintenance), executing test plans & procedures, data collection & reporting - establish good working relations with USPS test directors, site operations and maintenance personnel. Manage and direct other employees and subcontractors at field locations throughout the U.S. - review timecards for completeness and accuracy. Meet with USPS customer representatives (managerial, maintenance and operations) and provide technical and operations support as well as status briefings. Provide field communications to System Program Office and TS Deployment headquarters as to installation status, issues. During field operations - provide feedback to Systems Engineering for design improvements and process improvements. Basic Qualifications: 5-10 years experience in working with electro-mechanical equipment. Experience in the automation or robotics industry a plus. B.S. Degree or equivalent and extensive technical education required. 95% travel required. Preferred Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Discipline.
