Professional Experience:
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Ft. Meade/Columbia, MD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. The individual will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. The engineer will also determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems as well as ensure software standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
(9) years experience in software development, programming, and/or engineering.
Must possess experience in requirements analysis, software development, and installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing and problem diagnosis, and resolution.
At least (5) years experience developing in Java, J2EE, and/or C++ within a Linux and/or Windows environment.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously.
Must be able to work well within a team environment.
Must be able to adapt quickly to change.
Position requires the candidate be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
Final Grade determination based upon qualifications of selected candidate.
