Systems Engineer
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Where Technology and Teamwork come together in high-level support for our Customer. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Systems/Systems Engineering group located in Lanham, MD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Manage an extensive System, Software, and Hardware Requirements baseline.
* Evolve requirements, research and conduct trade studies for web centric Knowledge Management and collaboration tools including: workflow, concurrent document editing, centralized library with version control, whiteboarding, and others.
* Support configuration and prototype efforts.
* Support the evolution and modernization of legacy server systems into highly redundant web-based collaborative data centers.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* BSEE or BSCS or BS in other Technical Discipline
* Two years Systems Engineering related experience.
* Must possess excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills, including experience interfacing directly with customers.
* Familiar with LAN/WAN technologies.
* Must be proficient using MS Office applications.
* Some travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Minimum 1 year Apple and Sun hardware experience.
* Minimum 2 years developing, vetting, and documenting System, Software, and Hardware Requirements using Rational RequisitePro.
* Minimum 1 year experience working in a CMMI or ISO process based environment.
Final Grade determination based upon qualifications of selected candidate.
