Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a qualifed Technical Writer to collect and prepare information required for the preparation of technical publications. Write and edit program status documents; ensure appropriate grammar and format. Prepare CDRL deliveries; update or write HW/SW user manuals and training/course material, prepare miscellaneous written text, provide editorial and integration functions; coordinate layout and organization of document, obtain and interpret data, drawings and specifications through research. Participate in formal reviews of deliverable documents, and ensure documents meet editorial and Government specifications as required. Requirements (Essential skills/experience necessary to perform the work): Excellent grammar and proofing skills required. Minimum of 4-6 years in writing and editing technical documents, processes, and procedures. Proficient word processing skills on Macintosh and/or PC, with excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and either Visio or another drawing/graphics tool. Must be a 'team player' and able to work extended hours on occasion. Excellent interpersonal skills needed for research and/or document coordination. Assets: Competencies/Additional desired skills/pluses: Publications Editor. Authored or was a Lead Writer for a software or hardware user manual, and/or has working knowledge of Rational ClearCase or a similar version control tool. General knowledge of document management and change/control management.
Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly required
