Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking college graduate Software Engineer 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
* Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
* Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
* Ensures software standards are met
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or Applied Math
* Seeking candidates who have completed courses in software engineering, real-time and embedded systems, computer networking, parallel programming, databases, and computer systems architecture
* Experience with C, C++, Java, Python, and Message Oriented Middleware is of particular interest
* Must be able to perform frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
* Must have a strong background in software engineering, scientific computing, web technologies and/or embedded systems
* Must be able to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
* Must have knowledge of the Systems Engineering full life cycle
* Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
