As an ATEP System Engineer, you will report directly to the Department Manager of AT&I. The successful candidate will operate across all elements of the department and the program and will perform specific tasks in three distinct areas: a) Systems Engineer providing technical direction and leadership for program teams, oversees the management of engineering functional resources, processes and procedures for the execution teams, is the focal point for definition and control of technical requirements for existing and future programs / products, ensures technical coordination/ integration across definition, delivery, test, and support elements of the programs and is responsible for ensuring that technical solutions meet customer requirements within established technical requirements, cost and schedule constraints, b) Senior technical member of the AT&I Department Business Development Team and responsible for providing technical recommendations/ guidance for future programs, projects and growth strategies, and c) Acts as a technical representative to the customer community for current projects / programs, follow-on business and future opportunities. Final grade determination will be made based on qualifications of the selected candidate. The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation. U.S. citizenship is required. Additional specific security requirements will be discussed with the candidate during the interview process.
Position is contingent upon the awarding of the ATEP contract. Program award is anticipated August 1, 2009.
The following are the Basic Requirements for this position: 10 + years of experience directly related to this position. Experience in Systems Engineering; DODAF Architecture Level, "Big S", and "Little S" systems engineering. Experience with military "systems of systems", platforms, and sensors associated with Radar, EO/IR, ONIR, HIS/MSI, LASINT, Thermal, Spectral and Cyber. Familiarity with Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems, platforms and sensors. Experience in technical analysis and exploitation systems, tools, processes and procedures. Experience working with a diverse technical / engineering staff. TS clearance with capability of obtaining SCI clearance as well as SAP/SAR program clearance.
The successful candidate must be able to operate independently, without day-to-day direction, and be a self starter in all aspects of technical leadership, business development and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate across all aspects of the organization; from entry level engineers to senior scientists, across the functional support elements of Business Management, Contracts, Security and HR&A and with all levels of leadership from entry level supervisors to senior level leadership within Northrop Grumman and the customer community.
Desired Qualifications: 10 or more experience in prime integrator, aerospace related and specific military / DoD electrical engineering, system engineering, or software engineering programs, processes and procedures. Familiarity with Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) and Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI). Familiarity with emerging Cyber Warfare field. BS/MS in Systems Engineering.
