We are seeking a senior SAP Implementation Manager to be part of the Systems Integration project leadership team for the Global Combat Support Systems - Army Project.
This is an ERP Logistics and Financial deployment for the U.S. Army tactical environment. This team leadership position supports the configuration, master data definition, and software development (RICEFW) for a major multi-year SAP implementation. GCSS-Army will make use of SAP ECC 6.0 and the latest versions of Netweaver , Solution Manager, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Portal and the Defense Forces & Public Security (DFPS) and Public Sector (PS) Accounting extensions.
Primary responsibility is to provide leadership at the Northrop Grumman Midlothian, VA, installation of the Global Combat Support System - Army.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years experience leading at least two large-scale SAP implementations through full life cycle, and have directly managed the Blueprint and Realization phases using the ASAP implementation methodology.
The ability to determine and facilitate integration requirements across functional processes and lead the functional and development teams into a successful set of integration test cycles are the main tasks for this phase.
A key responsibility will be oversight of planning and execution of the Integrated Master Schedule through a rigorous utilization of Earned Value Management (EVM) pursuant with DoD 5000.2 is required. Demonstrable past project management experience or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification status is necessary.
Experience with oversight of SAP system landscape, architecture, system installation, builds, upgrades, transport management, and system and client copies is desired. Likewise, experience with the utilization of the HP Quality Center (Mercury) Suite of testing tools and Worksoft recording tools for Business Process Procedures (BPP) and training development is an important discriminator. Experience with the ARIS and IBM System Architect modeling and architecture tools is also a major plus.
Some travel (10% or less) outside the Richmond metropolitan area may be required for meetings and/or briefings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or MS degree with 7 years in the SAP implementation arena and hands on experience with SAP ECC 6.0.
Experience with SAP Solution Manager, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Portal.
Successful candidate will have it least 1 hands-on full-lifecycle implementation for user communities of 7,500 or more.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work in a dynamic team environment, and ability to meet tight deadlines required.
Ability to manage time and priorities.
Ability to motivate teams and to effectively represent Northrop Grumman. Posession or ability to achieve and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance level is required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
SAP hands-on configuration or ABAP/Basis experience.
