Advanced Systems and Products (ASP) is one of three operating units in Mission Systems' new Network Communications Division (NCD) and is based in the Carmel Mtn. Ranch area of San Diego, Calif. The business has developed and advanced software-defined radio technology for sophisticated communications in a network-centric environment.

ASP focuses on providing advanced technologies, engineering development and production engineering for our software-defined radio programs. ASP programs include the communications, navigation and identification (CNI) development for F-22 and F-35 aircraft; Airborne and Maritime/Fixed Station Joint Tactical Radio System (AMF JTRS); Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (CREW) system; and Secure Wireless LAN.

Design, development, test and integration support for advanced RF/Electronic hardware including transceivers, power amplifiers and antenna system products for military electronics system applications within HF/VHF/UHF/L/S/X/Ku and Ka Bands.
Work within a multi-discipline integrated product team environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must have 3-6 years of experience with analog and RF/microwave design.
RF architecture and system design including frequency planning, design partitioning, link and gain analysis, and electromagnetic effects. RF/Analog design experience should include microstrip, coplanar waveguide or stripline implemented in RF PWB, LTCC and/or MMIC/RFIC technology. Experience with device modeling and characterization.
Circuit design experience should include filters, amplifiers, LNAs, PAs, mixers, VCOs, PLLs and synthesizers, power detectors and ADC/DAC technology. Antenna design experience a plus. RF test, measurement and integration experience and familiarity with common RF/Analog lab test equipment.

Tools / Software Knowledge:
Experience with AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansoft HFSS, PSPICE, HSPICE, Matlab, Labview, AutoCAD, Schematic Capture Tools.

BSEE or Physics
