Information Assurance Systems Engineer 3 – 188039

Provide Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) services for program execution and new business pursuits on DoD Net-Centric communication systems. Program lifecycle execution responsibilities include discovery of information protection needs, development of security requirements for information systems and products with emphasis on software products/services, design of system security architectures, assessment of information protection effectiveness throughout the system development, support of security design efforts working collaboratively with functional design teams including Integration, Test and Implementation, support system Certification & Accreditation(C&A) activities and required product evaluation/certification efforts. New business pursuit responsibilities include the planning of technical efforts in collaborative team efforts supporting proposal development addressing Information Assurance demands.

The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position:
(1) 5 - 8 years of applicable experience in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering and or Information Assurance.
(2) Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related field with experience in ISSE, systems/software engineering or communication systems.
(3) Broad ISSE experience supporting tactical data communication systems development activities.
(4) Strong system and software engineering skills complimenting ISSE expertise. (5) Excellent communication (written and oral), negotiation and interpersonal skills necessary to support known ISSE activities/challenges working with engineering teams, management, customers, partners and government.

Additionally, the following is a preferred:
(1) experience with a DoD Certification and Accreditation effort (DITSCAP/DIACAP) and associated DoD 8500 series guidance (e.g. DoDI 8500.2) including preparation of C&A artifacts (e.g. Plan of Actions and Millestones.

(2) Experience in security test procedure development and execution (e.g. CT&E/ST&E, Penetration Testing, etc.)

(3) Experience with object-oriented programming languages and security evaluation thereof

(4) Experience with cross domain solutions (CDS) and multi level security (MLS) solutions

(5) Experience with system administration of complex system architectures.

(6) CISSP (or equivalent) Certification

(7) DoD Secret Clearance

In addition to standard IA Engineer qualifications also looking for the individual to have high technical talent in the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex system, application, and network issues.
