Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Brooks City-Base in San Antonio, Texas.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Optical Radiation Effectiveness and Safety Services Team at Brooks City-Base, Texas. Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor for the Air Force Research Laboratory, and provides engineers and scientists to support cutting-edge research in laser bioeffects and safety. This program has a value of $33M and lasts until 2015.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Work with a team of TASC Physicists and Electro-Optical Engineers to instrument research laboratories, and characterize electro-optical systems
* Apply specialized analysis tools to USAF and Navy Air-to-Ground weapons training ranges.
* Characterize performance of electro-optical systems.
* Develop laboratory instrumentation software.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* AA in Physics or Electrical Engineering.
* 1 to 3 yrs experience with lasers or other electro-optical systems.
* 1 to 3 yrs experience with laboratory instrumentation and data acquisition.
* Experience in technical writing of reports summarizing results.
* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW software a plus.
