Strategic Planning Cell Project Leader: Technical expert in plans and operations in all aspects of doctrine development, training, integration, long range planning, synchronization, and execution. Capable of leading a technically focused team to accomplish complex defense research and analysis tasks. May plan and perform specialized studies and analyses, including intelligence analysis, doctrinal development, or training exercises. Will lead a team in accomplishing tasks assigned by the Commander, Fires Center of Excellence. Provides training and mentoring to more junior members of his team. Coordinates with other schools and centers concerning relevant issues. Will work directly with senior Fires Center of Excellence leadership.
Requirements: O5/O6 (LTC/COL) level experience with a School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) background highly desired. Experience desired in plans and operations at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels. Recent experience desired. Able to communicate effectively with customers and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Well developed briefing skills required. Master's degree required. Security Clearance required.
Assets: Expertise in non-lethal fires a plus. Language skills a plus.
