Provides engineering analysis, programming and project management support for Facility Energy Programs as required to address energy, water, and other utility conservation programs. Manages awareness activities, develops guidance and implements energy and other facility initiatives, projects, and programs to reduce demand and resource consumption. Engineering support focuses on behavior, operation and maintenance, and efficiency upgrades to Air Force infrastructure to reduce energy use and reduce utility costs. Supports the development, guidance and implementation of distributed and renewable generation projects, and the design, review, and construction of energy efficient structures (new construction and retrofits). Provides expertise in
measures to enhance the long-term efficiency, sustainability, and operations of Air Force facilities. Processes Air Force documents necessary to program installation projects. Identifies possible funding sources for execution such as Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC), Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC), Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program, Energy Conservation Investment Program (ECIP), and others.
