Individual will provide Information Technology Security Services support to the Department of Justice (DoJ) US Marshals Service, supporting CIO and Security Program Office. Position is located in Crystal City, VA convenient to Metro.
Tasks include:
- Provide for the development of DOJ compliant Certifications and Accreditations of various General Support Systems and Major Applications.
- Develop technical and programmatic security assessments, evaluate security engineering and integration initiatives, and provide technical support to assess the DOJ's Program Office security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Recommend installation, modification or replacement of any hardware or software component and any configuration change that affects the DOJ component security.
- Provide oversight and enforcement of security directives, orders, standards, plans, and procedures at the DOJ server site.
- Develop, test, and update the Business Continuity and Contingency Plan for the DOJ PMO.
- Enforce the DOJ information security configuration and monitor the user access process to ensure operational integrity of the system.
- Assist DOJ PMO with decisions that affect security of the DOJ systems and networks.
- Participate and assist in certification and accreditation activities, including Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), Risk Assessment, Penetration Testing, and Independent Validation & Verification (IV&V).
- Strong working knowledge with NIST Special Publications and the C&A process/methodology;
- Strong preference that individual hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
US Citizenship and a current active Top Secret security clearance are required. A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 15 years IT Security experience with extensive knowledge in security regulations, and demonstrated hands-on security risk assessment experience;
- Demonstrated experience using MS Office applications;
- Seasoned security analyst having developed numerous security C&A and ATO on GSS/MAs.
Security Clearance Required.
